The Dynamics of Participatory Decision-Making in Educational Management to Improve School Service Quality

This study investigates the dynamics of participatory decision-making in educational management and its impact on school service quality. Using a qualitative case study approach at a senior high school in Jakarta, data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and document analysis with 12 informants representing principals, teachers, administrative staff, school committees, parents, and students. The novelty of this research lies in demonstrating that participatory decision-making functions not only as a managerial process but also as a mechanism to enhance transparency, coordination, and service alignment with stakeholder needs. Findings indicate that inclusive participation improves academic, administrative, and student support services, offering practical insights for responsive school governance.
